Gocek 12 Islands Gocek 8 Days / 7 Nights Itinerary
Day 1 : Gocek, Ayten Bay
Gocek is a small town located in the port city of Fethiye, within the district of Mugla Province. Tour members will depart at 4:00 pm from Gocek. The area is a natural harbor on the edge of the turquoise coast of Turkey, overlooking many islands and bays. It is a popular sailing area during the summer months, home to beautiful scenery, an impressive history and many cultural and entertainment venues. Our day will conclude at Ayten Bay, one of the most peaceful bays within Gocek. The bay mesmerizes guests with untouched beauty, turquoise-clear sea water, and magnificent nature. It is a very private and secluded area surrounded by scented pine trees, making it the perfect area for an overnight stay.
Day 2 : Gunluklu Bay, Boynuzbuku, Kille Buku
The magnificent Gunluklu Bay is our first destination for today, located 15 km from Gocek, complete with a 500-meter long beach and a peaceful atmosphere. We will then visit Boynuzbuku Bay which is a very popular place for guests wishing to sail in the crystal clear blue waters of Fethiye. It is surrounded by pine trees, and there is also a small restaurant to enjoy. Our journey will then lead to Kille Buku, where the slopes of the bay are highly vegetated with pine trees. It is a favored picnic spot for the locals and its glistening waters provide a perfect location for a refreshing evening swim.
Day 3 : Bedri Rahmi, Siralibuk
Today our tour will start at Bedri Rahmi Bay, which reflects natural beauty and important historical significance. Guests can enjoy the lush pine-tree scenery and swim in the clear waters. The bay was named after the famous painter Bedri Rahmi, who visited the bay in 1974. He carved a picture on a large stone in the shape of a fish and within the fish there are also six hidden animals to discover. One of the most beautiful bays in Gocek, Siralibuk Bay is our last stop for today. It is frequently visited by Blue Cruise tours, and is a delightful bay where mountain goats can be seen drinking water, this popular location is where the freshwater spring and saltwater meet.
Day 4 : Sarsala Bay, Cleopatra’s Bath, Binlik Bay
The day will start at the naturally sheltered Sarsala Bay. It is the perfect place for swimming, snorkeling, and discovering the area’s wide variety of marine life. Our journey will then continue on to Cleopatra Baths, where tour members can experience swimming through the ruins that lie beneath the water and explore historic ruins on the land. According to legends Marc Anthony built a Roman Bath at this spot for Cleopatra as a wedding gift and golden sands were imported to the location all the way from Egypt. Our final stop for today will be Binlik Bay, one of the area’s rare natural coves, surrounded by lush pine trees and perfect scenery for photographs. It is also one of the most frequently visited places for boat cruises as it has a safe and sheltered anchorage. Here we will spend the night on the sparkling Aegean Sea as it meets the Mediterranean, admiring the incredible views and magnificent sunset.
Day 5 : Yavansu Bay, Merdivenli Bay, Domuz Island
Today will be a day of bay hopping. The first bay on the agenda is Yavansu Bay, also known as Marti Bay. The name of the bay derived from the quality of the water coming from the mountain. There is a silhouette of a seagull engraved on the ground and because of this it is also referred to as Seagull Bay. Our journey will then lead us to Merdivenli Bay where there is a magnificent combination of the sea and nature. There are many natural caves around the bay and a small village within walking distance. The last stop for today is Domuz Island also known as Prince Island, named after wild boars that once lived on the land. The island is covered in lush, scented pine and olive trees that descend all the way down to the coastline. There are also some hidden ruins around the island, such as ancient churches and houses, to explore, some of them dating back to the Byzantine Era.
Day 6 : Ada Bogazi, Tersane Island
Our first stop for today will be Adabogazi Aquarium Bay. With its beautiful clear waters and spectacular marine life, it is a frequent stop for Blue Cruise boats. There is an inner island just across from the bay, where a hut houses ducks and geese. We will then visit Tersane Island, which is the largest island in Fethiye Bay. In the days of the Ottoman Empire, the Greeks lived here, but after their deportation, only a few old houses and a church remained, some of which can still be seen today.
Day 7 : Yassıca Islands
The Yassica Islands will be the next destination for today, a group of five beautiful islands within the Fethiye Gulf. There are ruins to explore on the islands and it is an ideal location for water sports enthusiasts. Swimmers can swim between some of the islands, the closest two being approximately 12 meters apart. The idyllic paradise is completly uninhabited, one of the most popular islands is the Devil’s Island. According to local legends, it is believed that the devil chose the island as his home when he learned he was denied entry to paradise. We will then sail to Gocek, where there are many bars, restaurants, and shops located on the promenade to enjoy.
Day 8 : Gocek
On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Gocek at 9:00 am. The small town was known as Callimache in ancient times. The ancient harbor was once used to load ships with chrome ore that had been collected from mines during the Ottoman Period. Today, Gocek is home to six luxurious marinas along with a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars. This popular boating area has many fragrant pine trees, bays, and wonderful beaches to discover and explore.
